I am so excited to start the year!! I will be teaching 6th grade Math and am looking forward to meeting all of my new students!

This will be my sixth year of teaching since getting my certification in education from Missouri State University. I previously worked for the district as a paraprofessional at the intermediate and elementary schools. My job included working in the classroom with students ranging from 3rd to 6th grade. I have chosen a career in education because I love working, helping and participating in each student's journey to becoming the great and unique individuals that they are.

I feel blessed to have lived in this community for 30 years. I am married and have two children, a daughter at the high school and a son in college. I cannot forget my two dogs Emma and Chopper and our cat that we call Kitty. We have also recently added a hedgehog to the mix named Knuckles.I enjoy being on the lake, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

I am looking forward to the upcoming year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.

I believe that students with different learning styles can use technology as a tool to explore and build skills to engage all levels of learning. I believe that hands-on learning can be a valuable way to encompass all students.

I will provide students with opportunities to use technology to explore and understand math relationships and connections. These connections will provide a way to relate to their everyday lives and the world around them.

All students will use technology to engage and construct math skills, building foundations for future math study.
