Welcome to Reeds Spring Intermediate School Health Services

Hello!! I am Paula Bishop L.P.N., the nurse at Reeds Spring Intermediate.  This is my eleventh year here at the Intermediate.  I have been in school nursing since 1994.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has information regarding the 2012-2013 Influenza vaccine.  The current guidelines state all people 6 months of age and older should get flu vaccine.
Vaccination is especially important for people at higher risk of severe influenza and their close contacts, including healthcare personnel and close contacts of children younger than 6 months.

Stone County Health Department has several flu shot clinics scheduled.  Call them at 417-357-6134 or 1-877-357-6134 for more information.

The Smile Center visit on October 2nd went well.  Approximately 110 students were screened, fluoride treatment completed, and sent home with goodie bags.

The new enrollment and OTC okay forms were printed on both sides of the paper.  Some parents did not realize that (there are lots of enrollment forms to complete!), so you might receive a copy of whichever side was not completed.  Please complete what is needed and return to the health office.  This is important so we can provide the absolute best care possible for your student.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call me at
