My Pedagogy Statement (philosophy)
  • I believe that it is imperative for twenty first century students to have access to technology as a means to broaden their global awareness and to have the ability to collaborate and communicate with peers, instructors as well as parents/guardians.
  • I will design and teach lessons that focus upon the exploration of the social sciences. Students will be given opportunities to expand their personal knowledge and to apply that knowledge to real world situations past, present and future.
  • Students will be given access to new resources previously unavailable. Students will daily utilize technology to read, write, listen and speak while practicing responsibility for their academic success.

Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to sixth grade! I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

This is my tenth year at Reeds Spring Intermediate School. I live in Kimberling City with my wife Brenda and two dogs: Willie Nelson and Sasha. My daughter Brooke along with her husband Jacob and our granddaughter makes up the rest of my family. Brooke also went to RSIS.

The upcoming Open House for students and parents is Tuesday, August 15 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. You may put your supplies in a locker prior to the first regular day of school.

Please refer to the school’s webpages as well as Canvas for important information regarding: assignments, grades, important dates, etc.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me anytime.: email spierce@wolves.k12.mo.us or phone (417) 272-8250 ext. 2703.

Once again, welcome to sixth grade. Let’s work together to make this the best year ever!
