Mr. Dan Kearney Retiring

Reeds Spring Intermediate School would like to recognize Dan Kearney, who retired during the 2020-21 school year. Mr. Kearney spent 11 years in the district as a special educator and focus room teacher. He also coached wrestling for both the Middle School and High School. Prior to his career in education, Kearney spent ten years with the United States Air Force.

“I have had the pleasure to work with Coach Kearney during his time at both the Middle School and now the Intermediate School,” said Principal Andrea Chavez. Coach Kearney is a man of great character and was an outstanding role model for our students. His service with the military before he began his teaching career is something students and staff greatly respected and admired. I will miss getting the chance to talk to Coach K about sports and the amazing accomplishments of his kids. Coach K will be missed by all at RSIS.”

When asked about his retirement plans, Kearney said, “I plan to do whatever my wife tells me to.”

The Reeds Spring School District thanks Mr. Kearney for his passion and commitment to serving our students.
