Mrs. Chris McDannold Retiring at End of Year

Reeds Spring Intermediate School would like to recognize Mrs. Chris McDannold, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Mrs. McDannold has taught for 29 years and has worked for our district for 28 of those years.

"Chris’s commitment to education and specifically to our district goes unmatched," said principal Andrea Chavez. "Chris has an abundance of knowledge, wisdom, and patience and is responsible for helping provide quality educational experiences for the decades of students she has served. Chris will be greatly missed by students and staff from RSIS!"

Coworker Kerry Walker said, “Chris is the big sister I never had. She is a wonderful lady to look up to and strive to be like. I consider Chris as family, she’s been there for me through thick and thin. I’m happy for her retirement but will miss seeing her every day."

“I am glad that the majority of my career was at Reeds Spring," McDannold said. "I have enjoyed having the second generation of students. Students are always so surprised when I tell them that I had their parents as students. I have also enjoyed seeing Reeds Spring alumni becoming Reeds Spring teachers. I have made many lifelong friends along the way. The staff at Reeds Spring truly care about kids. It has been my pleasure to work with so many wonderful, caring people.”

The Reeds Spring School District thanks Mrs. McDannold for her passion and commitment to serving our students.
